Art Bar + Projects
A joint initiative between the Khyber Centre and NSCAD's Anna Leonowens Gallery—with beer from Garrsion Brewery—Art Bar (and the associated Cabaret Voltaire-Atlantic) opened at the start of 2016 as an installation and performance venue. The beautiful wood-panelled space, formerly Brussels Restaurant and Brasserie, is based on the Dadaist Cabaret Voltaire founded in Zurich, Switzerland in 1916. The Halifax version features daily and weekly events including art talks, performance pieces and live music shows.
