1) He's Torontos mayor and quite frankly, better than they deserve. 2)The Senate has been a round a lot longer than Mike Puffy, Pam Wallass and the Harper majority. So has the culture of entitlement. Time to get rid of it. If the Party in power needs to reward it's fart-sniffers - give them an Order of Canada. No investiture at Rideau Hall, either. Send them out regular mail. 3)It's called patronage and, again, no one party has a monopoly on it. Try electing Mulcair and see how many tenured professors, social workers and grass-roots "activists" wind up being given postions that they are utterly incompetent to hold and control of monies that they are scarcely able to count. Better yet, look at New Scotlands example and learn. 4)This state of affairs has been going on since Trudeau inflicted his hilariously misnamed "Just Society" on us. Would you feel any better if your tax dollars were going to a third generation of self-entitled dole recipients? The parasites may be better dressed, but the mentality is the same. Of course we're outraged. Of course we intend to "do something" about it. We're going to annoint the first born of the Sun King and give him a couple of successive majorities. And fuck all is going to change.
I had a fish farm once...
I planted 200 of those damn salmon and not one grew into a salmon tree.
The wrong Mezza is pictured above.
But Big Bucks for Biz Dexter gave them scads of moolah to promote this stuff.
Call in the grief councillors......
I LIKE the fact that you used LIKE twice in your uptown one paragraph bitch, LIKE, really?
SHITD - evidence has surfaced that the true, indisputable gateway crime is taaa daaa - not turning up for jury duty, this then leads to not voting, failing to return library books on time, failure to wear a helmet and/or seatbelt, disputing that bacon really is the food of the Gods and lastly - you truly believe Peter Kelly was the best Mayor Shitville ever had.
A Taste of India wins with the busy downtown office crowd. Delicious and very affordable!
The medical staff were celebrating the announcement that they now ALMOST make as much as bus drivers.
This issue is a perfect example of how our so-called democratic system works. There were public hearings which made it clear that the public preferred Agricola. Then the real people in power basically ignored what the public said and ensured that a few business owners, concerned about a couple of parking spots, got their way. Private profit concerns always trump the public interest in this country. What galls me most is that the city feels obligated to make a show of engaging the public, but participatory democracy this certainly ins not!
So happy I won't be the only one. The oval I a great place for fitness
"potential victims", what kind of shit is that? Maybe we should execute shoplifters, cause we all know that shoplifting is that gateway crime.
Anyone see this? I love Marg! I vote for Marg! LOL
I'm thinking the feral cats may help control the mice and rats. I've seen them around the Infirmary. Others have had mice run about their feet in an unnamed restaurant. Bring on the cats!
I agree with TT on this. Blame the owners, not the dogs! Too many people out there are irresponsible, lazy and should never own a dog. I feel bad for these animals.
Let him rot. The kids will be better off!
There's currently a petition on the interwebs to disband the Senate. Granted, it's on the NDP website, and you have to scroll through a fairly lengthy spiel, but still.
Bad customer service. Didn't fix my bike properly.
Edam it! Can't think of a good one. Trying to match you punsters is like stilton at windmills. I was in the middle of reading "Rogue Herries" when I suddenly came over all peckish so I curtailed my Walpoleing activities and sallied forth in search of la belle fromage.
