One of the best gaming stores I've ever been in, a lot of rare games and great collectibles. Also the best retail staff I've ever dealt with; they always do everything in their power to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
Such a cool studio! Novel idea, love it!
Not sure if this is the same store or not. Looked like alot of shops had already moved out when I went this past week. Its mainly a collection of antique things and low quality art. I left as nothing tempted me and it smelled weird.
Great coffee shop and the best chocolates I've ever had! It's a great place to study and the baristas and owners are very nice :)
The Loop is one of those magical places that you can lose yourself surrounded by colorful yarn and nice, friendly people. Novice or advanced, you would be treated with the same patience and courtesy by the people.
Unparalleled customer service/general vibe, I'd recommend this store to anyone interested in buying or looking to repair a mac.
A retail music store that doesn't stock all the new releases, just the ones head office buyer thinks will sell. Select Sounds and Taz have a way better selection than HMV. Very disappointed.
Jungle Pets is my all time favorite pet store! It has a unique vibe, is locally owned, and the store owner and staff are so knowledgeable about the animals they sell and everything you need for your animal friend. They truly care about the animals they sell. I love Jungle Pets!
5 stars for this awesome Video Store ~ Mumford Video!! Fantastic selection, excellent prices, wonderful owner and staff.
Would like to see her expand and go head to head against VD on Quinpool Rd.
I shop here every couple weeks browsing new board games and buying Magic: The Gathering boosters and singles.
There is a great sense of community here, with the upstairs of the shop turned into a gaming room with many tables and rooms to allow for gaming get-togethers.
Every Friday night they have "Friday Night Magic" while other board games and rpg games days are held throughout the month including Munchkin and D&D.
They also recently changed their store hours and are currently the only local comic and game place open Monday - Friday 10am - 9pm (and Saturday 10am - 5pm Sunday - 12pm - 5pm.)
Best Mechanic Shop in the HRM. Goes above and beyond for the customer.
Their smoothes are powdered, so no room for any additives. A choice of four or something. The owner puts out a bad vibe; I've heard her cussing out one of her employees before. Speaking of, are wonderful. The location is pretty much it. Just get your drink and food, leave those behind the cash with some snarky non-smiles, and sit by the window and do your thang.
Stopped in on Sunday and really enjoyed my time! The staff is very friendly and I picked up a few cool items! I think I found where I'm going to be doing most of my Christmas shopping!!
With very little selection of vintage video games, this store did not suit our needs at all. All that remained in the way of SNES and N64 games were the unrecognizable ones that nobody wants. Kijiji and eBay were cheaper with way more options.
Ok, this store is not the cheapest in town but what they offer is quality and unique. Let's not forget the place has some items from local artists we want to support!
I would recommend this place as a first stop for anyone who is looking for a gift for the person who has everything!
The cards are fantastic and there are lots of neat items at many different pricepoints. I can't wait to see what they have at Christmas!
I've made quite a few purchases from MacEast over the years, and the customer service has been top-notch. Mr. Ring is always patient, honest and helpful, and he appreciates a good puzzle, too.
And in my experience he's a much better choice than his competitors on Barrington Street.
They never have games in stock. I have been there 4 times when the exact item that I was looking for had just sold an hour ago, but would be in next week.
When you do get a game from them, they are not knowledgeable about what comes in the game... they sold my girlfriend a game that was to include 3D pieces in it based on a long conversation between the two of them... then on my birthday when she game me the game, NO 3D pieces. She cried. I don't know a worse way to spend a birthday trying to console your girlfriend that just got screwed by the game store. The 3D pieces it turns out are extras and very expensive.
They are nice but don't trust that they will have things in stock even when you call them in advance and they state that they do have things. It is no sweat off your back to get you in, they figure they will sell you something. Just don't trust them.
I hadn't been there in a while, but recently I went back for my mother's birthday. I had a great experience, the store was really nice. full of different birthday themes and tons of balloons. The staff were super nice and really helpful. They helped make my moms birthday great. I can;t wait to plan another party and go back!
Take a flea market in the style you can only find west of Atlantic Canada or Europe, merge it with an unbelievably fun atmosphere and an awesome community, combine that with many awesome businesses with great prices with really awesome people running them, add a food court and a lots of really awesome products, great hours 9am-4pm Saturdays to Sundays, and put it in the center of Downtown Dartmouth and what have you got, the Harbourview Market. If you haven't checked out the market yet, what are you waiting for?

Adam is probably the most handsome man I have ever seen. His vast amounts of charm are only equaled by his wealth of knowledge.
