Re: “Advantage Movers

i booked advantage one day before i moved because the original moving company bailed on me, i had a 2 bedroom apartment and booked them at 9 am, the 2 guys showed up at time, they saran wrapped all my furniture and was professionally stacked in the truck, i was very scared because i had lots of mirrors and glass furniture, but it was all wrapped with saran and blankets and was in the same condition when it was dropped at the other location. i am very glass of there work and i would definitely book them again

Re: “Advantage Movers

Terrible. After they moved Beth Nada on 05/01/13 (see other review), they came to move my partner and I. We booked them for 6pm. They were seven hours late, showing at almost 1am, and the first thing one of them asked was if it was alright if they go smoke marijuana before they started. I don't think they did, they got moving as they should have considering the time. They damaged the walls on the way out of the building, and our pieces of our furniture were damaged during the move. They followed us to our new flat. The tenants in the flat below us came out angry, of course, because by now it was pushing 2am. One of the movers had the nerve to ask the tenant who came out to complain for a glass of water. She complained they smelled of marijuana. Our landlord had to remove a futon from the flat we were moving into and asked our movers if they could do it. Turns out they could, right in the middle of our booking.... at like 1:45am, while they were clocking our bill. It took them 90 minutes to wrap up the move, start to finish (it was only ten things), but they billed us for the whole two hours they'd quoted us. Nobody gave any excuses for being seven hours late, and no one fessed up to any of the damage, and it went unnoticed until after they'd left with our money.

Re: “Advantage Movers

Terrible. Absolutely terrible.
They are moving one of my tenants right now - 7 hours later - after swearing at both myself and my husband when we asked how much longer it would be. They yelled at the tenant when her sister called to complain, and brought her to tears. We deal with a lot of moving companies, but this has got to be the absolute worst. NEVER make the mistake of going with these people - it's not worth it on any level.

Re: “Pavia Gallery

My review is exactly as it happened and it was a confounding experience.

I posted on multiple sites because not everyone reads the same reviews.

Contrary to the CBC article, I was not rude, called the gentleman server 'sir' and articulated my concern (about the long wait time) in a low voice. He flipped and in a loud voice, asked me to leave embarrassing me in front of everyone.

My review was posted last November, and any new negative reviews did not come from me.

Re: “Pavia Gallery

Toaster posted this word-for-word "review" on every ratings site available.
Obviously a troll. Maybe an ex employee or some dipshit from nowhere with time on their hands.

Re: “Future Shop

I will give a rating but only so people can see how unhappy I am with the service my computer went on the blink and so we researched on line for the perfect computer for my family and it was at the future shop. It stated sold in stores so we got ready to go out even though it was a snowy weekend (Feb 10/12) the store was almost empty lots of staff standing around talking to each other not to us ... finally after 10 min of being ignored (note it was longer this is only after I started timing) We went to find someone we asked a young man about the computer we were looking for mentioned we had seen it on line oh we do not carry most of the models listed on line ... he then proceeded to walk away ... my husband and I looked at each other laughed at the rotten service and went to Staples to buy our computer.

Re: “Urban Cottage Antiques & Collectibles

I can't understand why nor will I ever trust a company without a website!

It's 2012 people - get it together! Yeah, sure you think a fan page on Facebook will uffice, but it doesn't.

If you're a bona fide business, you have a website (and take debit), otherwise it's fly-by-night rip-off sham.

Re: “The Plumbing Barn and Divine Lighting & Lamps

My friend actually had a TERRIBLE experience at Plumbing Barn! They switched the product she had ordered, without informing her, with what looked like cheap garbage, and then subsequently became extremely angry when she asked for the product she'd actually paid for. They were so irate, they verbally assaulted us and ordered us to leave their establishment. I have never been so shocked and confused in my entire life, as I was by the treatment we received - especially in light of the fact that my friend had actually bought a significant amount of their product, and could have been a very good repeat customer!

Re: “Geddes Furniture

We loved Geddes quality and service until we discovered a chip out of the top of our ten foot dining table that they had filled and finished prior to delivery. It took us more than a year to notice it and when we did we visited the store to express our concern. It was New Year's Eve day 2011. During our visit, we also informed the owner that our mule chest had an unfinished center leg and we would like it corrected.

We were assured the issues would be addressed and we were to expect a call from their repair person. It never happened. I have visited the store on four occassions since and every time I was promised a call and a repair. Still nothing. It is now June 23, 2012.

When we were initially shown the quality of the wood and finishes during the outdoor sales routine (which is a waltz out to the sidewalk where the beauty of the cherry glows under the glint of the mid afternoon sun), the wood was void of damage. So, we expected furniture of the same quality. Call us crazy. I now understand why the ligthing in the store is so dim and your purchase is always displayed on a Friday after five.

Re: “Pavia Gallery

This is by far the best coffee I have had in Canada. They bring in their espresso from a small family run micro-roastery in Florence. Their cappuccinos and lattes are to die for. The baked goods are all made on site and the paninis and soups are all house made fresh to order. I cannot recommend this place highly enough..it is worth the 10 minutes drive or 30 minute bike ride from the rotary.

Re: “London Loft

I'm just back from visiting London Loft, and it's "ab fab". Beautiful store, unique furniture and accessories for your home, and just a pleasure to view. Love it, and I will be back!

Re: “London Loft

Looking forward to the launch of London Loft. I think Roberta's concept is brilliant. The Historic Properties seems very complimentary to the delights that await us all!

Re: “Plan B Merchants Co-op

Not sure if this is the same store or not. Looked like alot of shops had already moved out when I went this past week. Its mainly a collection of antique things and low quality art. I left as nothing tempted me and it smelled weird.
