Re: “Dave Marsh & True Love Rules

These guys suck, I've seen them twice and I'll bet watching Dave hang drywall is more exciting. His drumming for Joel is great no doubt, but this is vanity project crap.

Re: “DRUM!

This production that attempted to capture something of Nova Scotia's cultural legacy failed to achieve anything more than a general, unfocused and cheesy performance. The production was uncreative, and was reminiscent of a Rita MacNeil Christmas special with all the trimmings. An attempt to insert a cultural narrative within the confines of the music rang hollow, and all the songs from the varied cultures were strikingly similar in their composition and tone. Each song had a familiar formula - a drumbeat to begin, followed by a long and dull crescendo and all culminating in a lord of the dance like finale, making all the distinct cultures blend into a homogenous mass. In addition, losses of rhythm, technical glitches and cheesy projections contributed to an exceedingly unmemorable spectacle for the low-brow masses. Anyone expecting an intricate percussion perfomance will be sorely disappointed. I should have stayed home and watched the shopping channel instead.

Re: “TO BE RESCHEDULED: Condoleezza Rice Talk

Tickets are as low as $140? I think the $899 ticket is the VIP ticket that gets you in to a meet and greet and a picture with her. I am loking forward to hearing what she has to say on the Obma admin and US and Caanda relations

Re: “Huge Sums of Money

I thought that Mr. Reid had a lot of great source material but he did not present it in very accessable fashion. The delivery was muddled and confusing. He skipped around a lot and only offered three of his supposedly multitude of jobs as examples. And he lost track of his lines mid-way through the production and had to regroup before he could continue. I think that this could make a very amusing, entertaining production, but it needs a lot of work and polish before doing so.

Re: “Skin Flick

The worst "play" I have ever seen at Neptune. I assume they are trying for a whole new demographic, the presenting sponser was Q104. Why waste $45.00 to see this play when it could be saved by viewing any of the crap that is on television these days. Over acted, badly written, with no new or clever joke lines.
Stay home and watch the Simpson's reruns.
