A brand new hobby shop opens on Barrington Street

At last, the shell of what was once Random Play has been brought back to life. Games People Play (1587 Barrington Street) opened today, providing a haven for board and card game lovers in town. The hobby shop will not only sell games, collectible cards and, eventually, new video games and high end computer parts for gaming PCs, but it’ll be a hangout where people can get together and play. “For the majority of my life I’ve been hanging out at shops like this, it’s a great way to meet like minded people,” says Greg Pothier, who owns the shop with friend Joseph Allen. Play that marathon game of Risk here from 11am-11pm Sunday through Thursday, and 11am-1am on Friday and Saturdays.
