Inkwell has a birthday
Open house, loot bags, cupcakes and more.

“I never knew so many beautiful things could exist in one place without causing the world to implode in a series of rainbows and unicorns." That's how one voter described Inkwell Modern Handmade Boutique & Letterpress Studio (1658 Market Street, 405-8309) for The Coast's Best of Halifax contest last year. With that sort of enthusiastic support, the shop won in the "best new store" category.
And now Inkwell is celebrating its first birthday with an open house, a letterpress printing demo and an origami paper flower demo by artist Anna Sampson on June 2, from noon to 6pm. Also that day, "loot bags" will be given out along with each purchase, as well as cupcakes, while supplies last for both.
Were that not enough, over the next week there will be a "give-away-a-day."
