Openings The Bike Pedaler opens in Dartmouth
New area bike shop stresses green travel

For all those whose motto is "Two wheels good, four wheels bad," check out The Bike Pedaler (25 Portland Street, Dartmouth, 406-7773). The new shop, run by Marc Rickard, will be all about the sustainability of bicycle culture, offering Canadian-made and low-impact bikes. According to the store's Facebook page, "The Bike Pedaler will be a leader in the community for education, empowerment and facilitating bicycle use and ownership to all members of society. It is the goal of The Bike Pedaler to hear from customers that they are so happy they came in---that they’ve never loved their bicycle as much before, and wonder when the next group ride will take place."
