Quinpool now open, and late

Steamy’s Restaurant (6300 Quinpool Road, 405-8855) is now open until 5am on Saturday and Sunday mornings. (That’s late Friday and Saturday night for you partiers, dancers and swingers.) Also, we’ve noticed that the stylish Bermudan food eatery Rock Island Café (6193 Quinpool Road, 406-4385) is up for lease. And Pamela Kennedy is opening a hair salon in the former Duly Noted space (6114 Quinpool Road). It’s a return home for her of sorts, as she used to own Vashti’s Oasis upstairs in the same building. The new business will be called The Pamela Kennedy Project. “The salon has a touch of old Hollywood glamour, provides a variety of high quality hair services, handbags and accessories,” writes Kennedy in an email. She also has over 15 years of industry experience and is an expert in hair colouring, FYI.
