Shoptalk has learned that a development plan for the former
Sam The Record Man property and the buildings adjacent, owned by Barrington Street supremos
Starfish Properties, is ready to go ahead. The plans indicate the building facades will be maintained, with interconnected office and ground-floor commerical space behind, linked to Argyle Street properties. Also planned is a two-storey addition in a "contemporary glass and metal facade" style above and behind the three-storey existing facade. This will be the first new development to move forward under the
HRM by Design umbrella.
