The folks from Hal-Con are staying busy. The actual science fiction and comic book convention may be 15 months away (October 29-31, 2010) but they're out there reminding us of its imminent arrival. For example, at the Thursday, June 25 midnight premiere of Transformers at the Empire Cinemas in Bayers Lake and Dartmouth Crossing---or DX, as those in the know are calling it---Hal-Con will be giving away a Saturday Admission pass per theatre for that showing. They also have prizes from north end comic emporium Quantum Frontier (3087 Robie, 446-8233) for the Friday, June 26 shows at 7pm. Check out hal-con.com for more information on the future nerd-paradise event that we all wish we could time travel into the future to visit. Do you hear that, future-me? If they've invented time travel by October 2010, come back and get me now.
