In the Dead of Winter 2010 festival line-up announced

January 26-30 in Halifax. OMG, ANI.

The In the Dead of Winter festival is in it’s triumphant 5th year, bringing 54 performers together to warm you people up during the bleakest month in Halifax. 2010’s performing artists include Ani DiFranco, John K. Sampson, Justin Rutledge, Luke Doucet, Rose Cousins, Catherine MacLellan, Ken Whitely, Ron Hynes, Ruth Minnikin, The Wooden Sky, Field Assembly, Coco Love Alcorn and many many more (full list after the jump). The festival, organized by Heather Gibson, Don Brownrigg, Tanya Davis and Amelia Curran, has added a workshop component this year, if you can handle some learning after all those sweet tunes. Tickets onsale at noon on December 2 and are available at www.ticketweb.ca and The Company House. Rebecca Cohn tickets will be on sale through the Dal Arts Centre box office. Festival passes are on sale now.
