Fugazi banter is high on the list of best banter ever. This is proof.

what a great compilation of banter....
what strikes me is how aware the band was of the people in attendance. i loved it when ian says "i am having a personal conversation here" - which is exactly right! when ian or guy spoke to a member, they were really trying to zero in and connect with that person.
i have been lucky enuf to see fugazi play twice and the evens twice - ian loves the lights to be on. why? because he likes to see you. you can actually watch him look around the audience and he will look into your eyes for a moment. it is that desire to connect with poeple and awareness that has been apart of what makes ian mackaye a truly unique artist and human being.
so don't listen to this and just think "buzz kill"(as, i am sure, do some who love to go to concert to get really drunk and slam/surf) - the band really cared about the audience and that the music making event was going to be a great community experience.
