Dine Around: Flavours of Nova Scotia kicks off
Onyx is one of the many local restos serving up three-course meals

Generally February is a pretty big downer. Smack in the middle winter, it can be hard to motivate yourself to do, well, anything. But usually, no matter how Eeyore-ish you're feeling, good food has the power to perk anyone up. Luckily, the shortest month of the year is also , a month-long opportunity for local restaurants to showcase their mad skills, creativity and, of course, Nova Scotian made and grown products. A selection of great eateries province-wide have created three-course, prix frixe menus making it easy for you to get a taste for what they do. This excuse to explore the wide-ranging restaurant scene is also the kick off to the Savour Food & Wine Festival. Entering it’s 10th season of celebrating all things tasty, Savour Food & Wine has a whole line up of events that’ll continue to tempt your tastebuds as the month goes on. Keep your eyes on ns.edining.ca for updates on the list of participating eateries (which includes Bistro Le Coq, Chives Canadian Bistro, CUT, Da Maurizio, McKelvies, Mezza, Saege and more), and their dreamy menus.
