Recently Engaged: Andrea & Sergio

Long distance love.

Sergio and I met in Jamaica. To me, at first, he was just another guy on the resort, that I was not interested in as I was on a girls' trip! But later that evening we started talking... and talking... and talking... and instantly hit it off! He was a cricket player in England from St Lucia, and I a Nova Scotian, needless to say I wasn't too sure if I would see him again! But after I left Jamaica we talked almost every week and have now been together for over 2 years.

I went down to St Lucia to meet his parents and family. We went to a charity dinner at the beautiful 5 star Sandals resort. A couples resort with the best chefs and scenery in the world! After dinner he took me for a tour of the resort and we ended up in a gazebo overlooking the ocean, facing the city sky line off the beach. Beautiful and breath taking. Sounds like a fairytale! Sergio started telling me some sweet words but unfortunately, as soon as I realized what was going on I got so excited that I now no longer remember a word he said!!! I do remember that he got down on one knee, and put a beautiful ring on my finger... a permanent smile was on my face all night.

My engagement with my long distance love was a dream come true in one of the most beautiful wedding and honeymoon destinations in the world... it couldn't get any better.
