You knocked my cell phone out of my hand when you reached for the close door button on an elevator we both take daily—that we both know doesn't actually do anything. You stared at me when I picked up my broken phone and didn't even say sorry. It’s fine, I've had the phone a long time, but for fucks sakes you could have apologized. —Nick

So you found a bed bug on a transit bus. What do you expect? How many people take the buses every day? And not one of them will have any cooties of any kind? Maybe you’re the one who brought it on, ever think of that? You could have them for years in your home, bed, sofa, books, et cetera and not know it. And as far as Transit saying that the health and safety of riders and it's drivers is top priority is bullshit. Ever take a good look around the inside of a bus? Look everywhere and you will discover oodles of dirt, dust and crap all over them. They do not clean the buses as they say every day. That's a load of bull they are giving you. The public and the drivers are lucky if they get cleaned on the inside twice a year. They don't get cleaned daily. It's bullshit, just like everything else Halifax Transit says to protect itself. They really don't give a rats ass. —One Who Knows

My previously friendly neighbourhood pharmacy is no longer friendly. The employees used to be curtious and helpful and with a smile ,with the exception of a pharmacist and a cashier. What changed?Im always nice ,smile when smiled at.Was it something I said or did or didn't do to warant the change in you're attitudesand quality of service?I spend good money there but it makes me wonder as to the professionalism of pharmacy staff. —soon to be ex customer

Since reading the paper about bed bugs popping up on a bus has got me freaked out. Already had to deal with those little shits once and it took months before i got rid of them. It was expensive and a royal pain. No it does not mean your dirty either. It is so easy to get them. Its sad cause some are just learning now how easy it is to get them and call people dirty who have them. Well news flash you could be the cleanest person and still get them by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And these frigging people called environmentalist at some point complained about the old ways being to dangerious for humans to breath in so now the problem has returned. I would rather breath in the dangerious poisions than have the expense and extra work to claim your home back. I hope the environmentalists are happy cause they are the ones who deserve to get the worst case of them. —F you environmentalists

Maybe you didn't get the nod because there are those who did better than you. Yes, there are situations where everyone gets an award but this is not one of them. Some times people are excluded because they don't meet the required professional criteria and not because they are a member of a minority. —Try harder next time

To the driver of the light coloured vehicle who drove into a parked car in a parking lot on Quinpool Road on Friday night: please call or stop by the adjacent store with your name and information by Thursday. If not, on Friday the video surveillance of the hit and run will be turned over to police to investigate. —Licenseplateclearlyvisible

I keep hearing terrible stories about bed bugs around Halifax. Bed begs in the hospital, on the bus, in apartment buildings, senior complexes, nursing homes, hotels and student housing. Halifax you have a beg bug problem!!! Get your shit together and do something about it!! This is not acceptable!!! —Sleeping Tight

How deceitful to sell 'bamboo' in your company and lead people to believe that the sheets are made of bamboo fibres when in fact they're microfibre! —Attentive consumer

I clearly took too much of your time while trying to sell concert tickets in support of the relocation of a vulnerable Syrian refugee family of six. I need to apologize. Not for taking too long to “get to the point,” but for whomever and whatever has occurred in your life that has led to the generation of such impatience, of such a lack of compassion and courtesy. Had you taken the time to listen to my words, you would have been able to answer your own question. "What is the point?" The short answer was to sell tickets to a concert being put on by Downtown Dartmouth For Refugees on January 22 featuring Bob Lambert and Georges Hebert. The long answer, and the point that gets overlooked by those too impatient to listen for more than 60 seconds, is the fact that to live in a world without hatred and war we must come together with compassion and love for life. These musicians and organizers are attempting just that by offering their skills and performances to raise money and awareness for the injustices in this world that  have resulted in pain and suffering for far too many. For those of us fortunate enough to reside in two-storey homes, with spacious yards and cars to drive in safe Canadian neighbourhoods, it is often hard to conceive of a life where adequate food, sanitation or even walls and a roof to call home are mere memories. Many of us who can see this have come together, under many different names, working towards a common goal of consideration to all living beings. I wish for you such kindness that your eyes are opened to the power that lies beneath such acts. Sadly, from your treatment of me, I do not expect that will be the case. For this, I am sorry. —We are The Hunger Games
