Money in limbo?

Posted on Wed, Nov 23, 2011 at 9:32 AM

Ok, here it is the age of instant this and instant that. High speed communication is the order of the day, and everyone wants it even faster. So, why when I ask my partner to transfer some cash into my account, which has already been added to her list for accepted transfers on said account. Both accounts are in the same institution, and both have been set up at the same branch even. So why does it take 24 - 48 hours to take the money out of her account and put it in mine? They (the bank) takes it out of her account immediately! No hesitation. So why does it take so long to verify, one: an account within same institution (or any for that matter!) and two: an account that has already set up and approved to transfer money into. So where is this money that came out of account one? In some kind of limbo? Or is the bank using it without us, the owners of the money benefiting? Once again in matters like this, it shows the banks ONLY see us as a resource to be exploited! It might seem like a small matter, but that just shows how they have already trained us to think that they should have the right to play with our money in whatever fashion they wish. The Occupy movement is just the first wave of disgruntled citizens. The real revolution is coming, I just hope the average person will have the courage to step up when it does. —Tired of Being Exploited
