Nova Scotia College of Art and Design film students will have the chance to share their cinematic creations in a series of public film screenings on Thursday, April 19 at the
Empire 8 Park Lane Theatre (5657 Spring Garden Road, 423-4860) at 7pm. Don’t feel like watching movies in which crazed teenagers find inventive ways to kill each other? How about a classic crime drama or a Celtic supernatural thriller instead? Come early, as tickets will sell out faster than
Titanic 3D. Admission is $5 at the door.
The five short films this year are:
No One’s Watching by
Justin Tomchuk
Fuddle by
Kirsten Stanley
Crossing Over by
Karolina Szablewska
When You’re Gone by
Christian McDonald
The Lone Tree by
Caleigh Childs
Also screening a day earlier, Wednesday, at Park Lane, 7pm, $5: work by students in
Sol Nagler’s classes. On the bill is
Screaming Calf by
Meredeth Milton,
A Broken Record by
Jarrett Shaw and
Eighteen by
Stephanie Young.
