Don't forget to check out the Halifax Crafters Spring Sale this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 5pm, at the North Street Church (5657 North). This ain't your nana's crocheted toilet-paper cover kinda place (unless done in some ironic way), there are incredibly gifted artisans who show here. Some of the best things from the winter sale (besides the fact that Christmas is out of the way and you can shop for yourself): Orphanage has some $5 deals; Amanda Fullerton's gorgeous feathered earrings shown above; Kyla Francis' glassware; Blythe Church's felted cassette tapes/watches; these really smart screenprinted cycling caps (I don't know who makes them but we bought one) and Chantal Doak's yummy cupcake brooches...the list goes on. Whooo!
